Morocco has secured its place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, becoming the first African team to qualify after a dominant 5-0 win over Niger on September 5, 2025.
In front of over 70,000 fans at the newly renovated Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex, goals from Ismael Saibari (2), Ayoub El Kaabi, Hamza Igamane, and Azzedine Ounahi sealed the emphatic victory.
The match also doubled as the stadium’s first official game, celebrated with a lively and electric atmosphere.
With 18 points from six matches, Morocco tops Group E and books its seventh World Cup appearance — and third consecutive qualification.
