Leaders, policymakers, and education stakeholders have gathered in Nouakchott, Mauritania, for a continental summit focused on addressing Africa’s education challenges.
The three-day event, themed “Educating and Skilling Africa for the 21st Century,” aims to build an inclusive and equitable educational system in line with the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
Organized by the African Union Commission and UNICEF, the summit addresses the plight of over 100 million out-of-school children, including those with special needs, with active participation from civil society and the private sector.
