Guinea is hosting high-level talks to establish a parliamentary body for the Mano River Union, a move aimed at strengthening regional cooperation.

On Wednesday, Liberia’s National Assembly Speaker, Richard Nagbe Koon, arrived in Conakry for an official visit. He was warmly received by Guinean counterpart, Dansa Kourouma.

The proposed parliamentary body would serve as a platform for lawmakers from Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, and Sierra Leone to coordinate policies and deepen integration across the subregion.

The initiative reflects growing momentum for regional collaboration in addressing common development challenges and enhancing cross-border governance.
