Authorities in Mali’s Ségou region have extended the nighttime curfew by another 30 days following a series of violent attacks in the area.
The curfew, in place since June 2025, will now run from September 3 to October 2, between midnight and 5 a.m.
Officials say the decision follows recent armed assaults in Farabougou and the killing of the mayor of Dogofry, incidents that have heightened security concerns.
The measure is aimed at restoring stability as central Mali continues to grapple with worsening insecurity and violence.
