Mali as the country’s junta leader Colonel Assimi Goita is arriving in Burkina Faso today, Tuesday, as part of a strategic visit to Burkinabe counterpart Ibrahim Traore.
Upon arriving in Burkina Faso, Goita will hold discussions with Captain Traore and use the opportunity to revisit discussions on the cooperative relations that exists between Mali and Burkina Faso.
The fight against terrorism, socio-economic development, and the quest for total sovereignty of the two countries will also feature in the exchanges between the two Heads of State.
Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger have been facing terrorist attacks for several years.
This meeting of the two Heads of State of ESA member countries will also be an opportunity to strengthen the alliance for the benefit of the peoples of the three Sahelien States.
