Customs authorities in Mali have seized a large quantity of drugs in Diboli, a town near the border with Senegal. The operation was carried out on September 2, 2024.
Malian customs are making headlines again with a major operation. During road inspections, customs officers confiscated a significant quantity of drugs, two packages, on September 2, 2024. The traffickers were about to bring the drugs into the country.
According to Malian customs, the seizure concerns 148 bricks of Indian hemp transported on two motorcycles. Without the vigilance of the men of Inspector General Amadou Konaté, this prohibited product would have ended up in the mafia circuit of traffickers.
Furthermore, it is important to note that this is not the first time that such an operation has taken place at the Diboli border. A few weeks ago, customs seized nearly 78 briquettes of cannabis from Bamako and destined for Senegal during a patrol.
