Mali’s Minister of National Reconciliation has called on armed groups to accelerate the implementation of the new inter-Malian peace agreement.

The deal includes integrating 2,000 fighters into the national army and reintegrating 1,000 others into civilian life by February.

Authorities hope this move will strengthen national unity and stability, but challenges remain in ensuring full cooperation from all factions.
