Schools across Mali are set to resume classes on Monday, November 10, after a two-week suspension prompted by the nationwide fuel shortage.

The Ministry of National Education confirmed the reopening in a statement on Thursday, maintaining the academic schedule outlined in the joint communiqué of October 26.

Authorities say the temporary halt was necessary to reduce travel and ease disruptions caused by the fuel crisis, which continues to affect mobility and security across the country.

Despite lingering shortages and tensions, the ministry insists that conditions now allow teaching and learning activities to restart nationwide.
