In Mali, Prime Minister Choguel Maïga has openly voiced concerns about the transitional government under the leadership of Army General Assimi Goïta.

Speaking to a crowd during the commemoration of the liberation of Kidal, Maïga criticized the regime for its lack of transparency, particularly in handling critical national issues such as the postponed elections and the indefinite extension of the transition period.

The Prime Minister expressed frustration over being sidelined in decision-making processes, revealing that he often learns about major government decisions through media outlets rather than formal channels.

This development highlights growing tensions within Mali’s transitional government, as the public and political actors continue to demand clarity and accountability regarding the path to a constitutional democratic order.
