In Mali, Prime Minister General Abdoulaye Maïga met on Thursday with unions representing drivers and road transport operators to address the country’s ongoing fuel shortage.
The crisis stems from a blockade imposed by the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) on major supply routes used to transport hydrocarbons into the country.
The meeting focused on finding immediate relief measures and coordinating with security forces to restore safe and consistent fuel deliveries across Mali.
