Colonel Assimi Goita emphasized the importance of African countries strengthening their sovereignty.

Speaking in Beijing at the FOCAC summit, Goïta also paid tribute to Chinese President Xi Jinping and reaffirmed the strong relationship between Mali and China, based on mutual respect and benefit.

He highlighted that the two countries’ relations are grounded in respect for sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs.
