The Malian army says it has repelled an attack targeting one of its formations in Gao, located in the northern part of the country.
In a statement, the Armed Forces of Mali explained that the attackers used shells and a kamikaze drone during the assault.
According to the military, the attack was successfully pushed back, with the army destroying the attackers’ logistics.
The incident comes amid similar attacks reported in Niger, Benin, and Nigeria, where several soldiers lost their lives.
