The Constitutional Court of Mali has validated the law which increases the compensation and benefits of members of the transitional parliament.

The law does not grant a salary to transitional parliamentarians, but indicates that they will benefit from new benefits.

A decision is considered controversial, especially as the country is going through a difficult socio-economic situation.
