In Mali, authorities have intensified their crackdown on counterfeit medicines as part of efforts to safeguard public health.
On Thursday, more than sixty tons of fake pharmaceutical products were destroyed near Bamako following a series of operations by the Central Office for Narcotics Control.
The Directorate of Pharmacy and Medicine said the large-scale incineration is a key step in combating the circulation of dangerous drugs and ensuring the safety of medical supplies across the country.
