Mali has finalized an agreement with Russia to build a gold refinery and cotton processing plant, with the project welcomed in Bamako by President General Assimi Goïta.

While consistently ranking among the top three producers of cotton and gold in West Africa, Mali is now focused on adding value to these resources through local processing. This initiative marks a significant step toward boosting the country’s economy and promoting sustainable development.
