President John Mahama has inaugurated Ghana’s eighth National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), calling for a unified plan beyond election cycles.
Speaking on Tuesday, he emphasized the need to diversify Ghana’s economy, which still depends heavily on raw primary goods.
The newly reconstituted NDPC is chaired by Dr. Nii Moi Thompson, architect of the 2017 40-Year Development Plan.
President Mahama urged the body to consolidate previous strategies into a coherent, long-term national roadmap.
