President John Mahama has promised swift action to address post-election violence, assuring Ghanaians that justice will be served and victims compensated.
At the Post-2024 Elections Evaluation Dialogue in Koforidua, the president revealed that Attorney General Dominic Ayine is preparing a proposal for compensation, while also fast-tracking investigations into violent incidents linked to the polls.
Mahama condemned the acts of violence and urged the Inspector General of Police to expedite inquiries to hold perpetrators accountable.
He said the government is committed to ensuring justice, healing, and a peaceful democratic process moving forward.
