President Joseph Boakai has officially signed Liberia’s fiscal year 2025 National Budget into law, totaling $880,661,874.
The ceremony took place at the President’s Rehab Office in Paynesville City, Monrovia. President Boakai expressed satisfaction with the budget’s timely completion and highlighted its significance, stating, “The budget is not just numbers on paper; it represents our commitment to addressing citizens’ needs and achieving national development goals.”
The National Legislature concluded deliberations on December 20, 2024, with the Senate concurring with the House of Representatives. The budget now provides a legal framework for Liberia’s governmental programs and activities for the coming year.
