Liberia’s President Joseph Boakai has inaugurated a committee with a goal to ensure the availability and stability of rice – the country’s staple on the local market.

The Rice Committee was constituted by the Liberian leader after he resisted an attempt by rice importers to increase the price of the commodity on the market.
