Lawmakers in Liberia have approved a resolution aimed at putting an end to the culture of impunity by pursuing legal action against those primarily responsible for the decade-long civil war that concluded in 2003.
The country’s devastating civil conflict, spanning from 1989 to 2003, was characterized by pervasive human rights violations, including rape, torture, and extrajudicial killings.
Despite the widespread atrocities, no one has been held accountable.
