Former Liberian President George Weah has criticized the use of excessive force on peaceful protesters by state security apparatus under the watch of current president Joseph Boakai.
Weah asserts that peaceful protests by citizens constitute a fundamental aspect of democracy, a principle diligently safeguarded by his administration during the past six years. He urges the current regime to adhere to the same democratic values.
