Liberia’s main opposition, Congress for Democratic Change has vowed to resist a reoccurrence of the bloody Thursday’s riot that saw a number of its partisans and police officers sustaining serious injuries.
The August 22, 2024 violent protest occurred when agents of the Drug Enforcement Agency invaded the opposition party’s headquarters under the disguise of chasing the suspected drug dealer.
