The Republic of Liberia is still struggling to achieve national reconciliation, despite recent years of democratic transition.
Political tension, particularly between the ruling administration and previous Governments, often leads to violence and abuse of power.
This ongoing conflict remains a significant trigger for political crises that continue to undermine reconciliation efforts in the country.
In light of this situation, the Liberian Independent Elder Council is urging current President Joseph Boakai and immediate former President George Weah to engage in dialogue regarding national reconciliation amid the ongoing political crisis.
