Several citizens of Liberia who were recently repatriated from the Budumburam Refugee Camp in Ghana to Liberia, staged a demonstration on Tuesday.
They were protesting the alleged failure of the Liberian authorities to provide them with their resettlement packages.
As a reminder, the Liberian authorities made the decision to bring back their stranded citizens after the Ghanaian authorities decided to demolish the refugee camp.
This camp had been home to Liberian refugees who had fled the country’s 14-year civil war, which claimed the lives of over 250,000 people.
