Liberia has made history by launching Africa’s first Youth Entrepreneurship Investment Bank, backed by the African Development Bank (AfDB). The bold initiative was unveiled in Monrovia following a visit by AfDB President Dr. Akinwumi Adesina.
Aimed at tackling soaring youth unemployment, the bank is expected to unlock opportunities for Liberia’s young population—60% of whom are under the age of 35—through tailored investments and entrepreneurship support.
