The United Nations Women Liberia is urging state security, particularly the National Police, to intensify their efforts in addressing, responding to, and leading initiatives to prevent Sexual and Gender-Based Violence in the country.
Despite sustained support over the years, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence remains a significant obstacle to Liberia’s recovery, particularly in the aftermath of the 14-year war that concluded in 2003.
