Liberians across the country on Thursday, November 6, 2025, observed National Thanksgiving Day, a moment dedicated to reflection, gratitude, and unity.
The celebration followed a proclamation issued by President Joseph Boakai, calling on Liberians, foreign residents, and religious leaders — including priests, imams, pastors, bishops, and other clergy — to gather in their respective places of worship to offer praise to the Almighty God.
This national observance is grounded in a legislative act passed in 1883, which designates the first Thursday of every November as Thanksgiving Day in Liberia.
