Traffic along Liberia’s vital Monrovia–Gbarnga Highway was brought to a halt on Sunday as residents staged protests over the death of a woman identified as Qita Jackson. Demonstrators demanded a thorough and impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

Protesters alleged foul play, fueling renewed fears over ritualistic killings and frustration with what they describe as weak local law enforcement responses. The situation quickly escalated, heightening tensions within the community.
