In Liberia, the House of Representatives has invited the General Auditing Commission (GAC) to conduct a full audit of its operations — a first in the post-war era.

The landmark exercise, which began on Tuesday, marks a major step toward strengthening transparency and accountability within the legislature.

Lawmakers say the audit demonstrates their commitment to good governance and rebuilding public trust in national institutions.
