Liberia’s President Joseph Boakai today cancelled the official program marking the celebration of the country’s Armed Forces Day, due to mass protest by wives of the army personnel.

February 11 each year is celebrated as Armed Forces Day in Liberia but because the day was on Sunday, the official celebration was pushed to today Monday.
