Liberia is commemorating its 69th Armed Forces Day at the Barclay Training Center in Monrovia, honoring service personnel for their dedication to safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty. Observed annually on February 11, the event recognizes the role of the Armed Forces in maintaining peace and national stability.
This year’s celebration is held under the theme, “Securing Liberia Together: Strengthening Interagency Collaboration Against Drug Trafficking and Emerging Security Threats.” The focus highlights the growing complexity of security risks facing the country and the importance of coordinated responses.
Authorities say the theme reflects a renewed commitment to interagency cooperation, particularly in confronting drug trafficking and other evolving threats that challenge Liberia’s security landscape.
