Liberia has launched a high-level dialogue aimed at resolving long-standing land conflicts that continue to fuel tension and obstruct development.
The discussions, held on Wednesday, brought together key stakeholders to examine the persistent challenges in implementing the Liberia Land Authority Act of 2016.
Central to the problem are overlapping claims, unclear boundaries, and weak coordination among state institutions—issues that have left many citizens uncertain about their land rights.
Stakeholders say the dialogue marks a critical step toward building a more transparent, cohesive, and conflict-free land governance system in Liberia.
