The Liberian government has officially launched its National Service Program (NSP), a nationwide initiative targeting young people.

Spearheaded by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the program seeks to consolidate existing youth-focused policies and projects under a single framework.

Officials say the NSP will expand opportunities for skills development, employment, and civic engagement, while boosting the impact of ongoing empowerment schemes.

The initiative is being welcomed as a strategic step to tackle youth unemployment and strengthen national development through active youth participation.
