The Liberian government will hold a high-level retreat in Monrovia on Thursday to find lasting solutions to the country’s pressing economic challenges. The meeting will be chaired by President Joseph Boakai.

Stakeholders from various sectors are expected to join government officials in reassessing priorities, realigning funding, and addressing inefficiencies inherited from the previous administration.

The retreat also comes in the wake of the temporary suspension of USAID assistance, a move that has added pressure on Liberia’s financial recovery plans.

Officials say the goal is to create a coordinated strategy to stabilize the economy and restore public trust in governance.
