Tensions are escalating along the border between Liberia and Guinea following the breakdown of negotiations between local officials from both countries.

The dispute centers on accusations that armed Guinean soldiers crossed into Liberian territory.

According to reports, the soldiers halted the Foya–Vahun road project and seized construction equipment.

The incident occurred near the Sorlumba border in Lofa County, in Liberia’s northern region.
