Liberia is gearing up to host the 2025 National Agriculture Value Chain Program, a flagship event aimed at revitalizing the country’s agricultural sector. The programme, set to begin on December 9, brings together farmers, policymakers, investors, and development partners.
The initiative is designed to strengthen collaboration with international stakeholders while drawing greater engagement from the Liberian diaspora. Officials say this year’s edition will highlight innovation, financing opportunities, and market expansion for the sector.
Smallholder and industrial farmers are expected to play a central role, with dedicated spaces to exhibit their produce, share success stories, and connect with potential buyers and partners. The event also serves as a platform to explore sustainable solutions to long-standing agricultural challenges.
With agriculture at the heart of Liberia’s economic recovery efforts, authorities view the programme as a major step toward boosting productivity, improving livelihoods, and positioning the sector for long-term growth.
