The Liberian government has rejected claims by former Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor that she has not received her retirement benefits.
At a press briefing, Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah stated that Taylor is receiving all entitlements due to her in accordance with the law. He emphasized that the government remains committed to honoring its obligations to former officials.
Taylor’s earlier remarks had stirred debate among Liberians, prompting the presidency’s swift response. WADR’s Abraham Parker has more from Monrovia.
