Liberia, Gambia, and Sierra Leone have signed a landmark roaming agreement to reduce telecommunications costs and boost regional connectivity.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed in Freetown, allows travelers to make calls, send SMS, and use mobile data at local rates without switching SIM cards.
This initiative aims to enhance economic cooperation and ease communication for businesses and citizens across the three nations. Officials see it as a step toward deeper regional integration.
With implementation underway, the agreement is expected to drive digital inclusion and lower telecom expenses for millions in West Africa.
