A regional workshop aimed at boosting women’s capacity in the banking sector is currently underway in Liberia’s capital, Monrovia.
The five-day program, organized by the West Africa Institute for Finance and Economic Management (WAIFEM), focuses on promoting gender equity as a key driver of Africa’s economic growth.
Participants include women policymakers, financial professionals, gender advocates, and stakeholders from Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and The Gambia.
The initiative seeks to strengthen women’s leadership roles within financial institutions and foster greater inclusion across the region’s banking sector.
