Academic activities at the University of Liberia have come to a halt as faculty members suspend all teaching duties over long-standing disputes with the administration and government.

The University of Liberia Faculty Association made the announcement after an emergency general assembly, citing unresolved issues affecting staff welfare and career progression.

Key grievances include stalled faculty promotions, delayed salary payments, disputes over salary adjustments, and concerns about study leave policies.

Talks between the association, the university administration, and the government are yet to produce a resolution.
