Liberians are expressing frustration over the ongoing political deadlock in the House of Representatives, calling for a resolution to pave the way for the timely passage of the 2025 draft national budget.
The draft budget, amounting to $851.8 million, was presented to the National Legislature on Monday by President Joseph Boakai through the Ministry of Finance. However, escalating tensions in the House have stalled discussions on the country’s financial plans.
Speaking to WADR, citizens highlighted the need for stability in parliament to enable proper deliberation and ensure the country’s development goals are met without further delays.
