With less than nine months to go until Côte d’Ivoire’s presidential election, former President Laurent Gbagbo has launched his nationwide mobilization tour, “Côcôcô,” as the official candidate of the African Peoples’ Party of Côte d’Ivoire (PPA-CI).
Gbagbo held a rally in Marcory Résidentiel over the weekend, drawing a large crowd at a local sports ground. During his speech, he addressed critical national issues, sharing his vision for the country and his plans for the upcoming election.
This tour marks the beginning of Gbagbo’s campaign as he seeks to rally support and reassert his political influence ahead of the highly anticipated vote.
