Liberian authorities have arrested a 37-year-old Kenyan national, Lena Orondo, at Roberts International Airport for trafficking 8.642 kilograms of heroin worth $388,890.
Orondo was detained upon arriving on Ethiopian Airlines flight ETA 933, which had a stopover in Addis Ababa before reaching Liberia from Thailand.
During initial questioning, Orondo disclosed that a Nigerian individual named Alex had instructed her to deliver the drugs to a consignee named Able Somah in Monrovia. The investigation is ongoing.
