Former South African President Jacob Zuma is in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, as part of a major cultural exchange initiative.
The visit includes about 700 people of African descent from the United States who have come to reconnect with their roots and experience Africa through Burkina Faso.
Zuma’s trip highlights efforts to strengthen ties between Africa and its diaspora communities.
During his stay, he is expected to deliver a public lecture in the Burkinabé capital.
