In Côte d’Ivoire, the Criminal Police have summoned seven senior officials of the Democratic Party (PDCI-RDA) for questioning.
Those invited include key figures from the Common Front alliance between the PDCI-RDA and the PPA-CI. While authorities have not disclosed the reasons behind the summons, it follows recent demonstrations despite a government ban on public protests.
The move comes just days after President Alassane Ouattara’s re-election for a fourth term, securing 89.77% of the votes in the October presidential poll.
