Ivorian Health minister announces reception of 131,100 doses of anti-malarial vaccines

The Ivorian Minister of Health, Pierre Demba, says it has received 131,100 doses of anti-malarial vaccines.

Cote d’Ivoire is among the first five African countries to receive these doses of vaccines.

The Minister said with these vaccines, the government will launch a vaccination campaign focused on prevention on July 15.

It will target children aged 0 to 23 months in 38 health districts spread across 16 regions of the country.

The goal is to vaccinate 250,000 children and gradually reach the other 75 health districts by the end of 2024.
