The G20 Summit, wrapped up in Johannesburg over the weekend, with African priorities taking centre stage, from debt restructuring and climate finance to reforms in global governance.

For the first time, South Africa hosted the summit on the continent, giving African leaders a rare platform to push for a fairer international economic order.

But beyond the headlines and high-level communiqués, what does this summit actually mean for Africa? Will the commitments made translate into real gains for ordinary people, or will they remain diplomatic promises?
