This week’s edition of IN THE SAHEL features two security experts from Nigeria to discuss The effectiveness of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) in reducing terrorism.
The MNJTF is an offensive and stabilizing force designed to combat Boko Haram and other terrorist groups in the Lake Chad basin.
Its establishment in its current form was decided at the Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of Lake Chad Basin Commission member countries and Benin, held in Niamey, Niger, on October 7, 2014.
