The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has called for financial reforms before granting new loans to Senegal, citing concerns over hidden debt.

A recent audit confirmed mismanagement in public finances over the past five years, with undisclosed liabilities estimated at 4 trillion CFA francs.

While the IMF considers Senegal’s debt sustainable, it urges authorities to take corrective action to maintain financial stability.
