A public health expert, Dr Danjuma Adah, says more awareness is needed about Hepatitis.
Danjuma, who is the Past – President of the world Hepatitis Alliance was infected with Hep B while in clinical rotations and then lost his mother to the disease several years later.
Even though Hepatitis kills more people per year than HIV/AIDS, it receives just a fraction of the global health funding.
Dr Danjuma is a leading voice for Hepatitis patients in Nigeria and uses his platform to advocate for the most vulnerable populations across Africa.
According to him, it is imperative to bring a change to the narrative about Hepatitis and raise awareness about the deadliness of the disease.
